Ancient Unicorn Inn Barnard Castle
Nestling high on the North Pennines, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, this historic 16th century coaching inn offers a traditional warm welcome. We serve excellent, freshly cooked meals using locally sourced products, well kept Real ales and wines and spirits. We offer comfortable, newly refurbished en-suite bedrooms in what were once the coaching houses. Ideally located for touring the Durham Dales, Yorkshire Dales, the Lake District and North East England.

From West: Take A66 towards Scotch Corner, turn off at signs for Bowes Village. At Junction, turn right and then left into village. At mini roundabout, turn right and we are 50yds on right hand side.From East, Take A66 towards BroughCumbria, after 16miles turn off at sign for Bowes Village. Follow road to mini roundabout and go straight over the roundabout. Hotel is 50yds on right hand side.
